Malcolm is a highly experienced accountant and business adviser who was a partner in a major firm of Chartered Accountants before joining his major commercial client at a senior level.
Malcolm has worked with a broad range of clients ranging from start ups and SMEs to Aim and fully-listed groups .
Malcolm has had an enviable track record of improving operational cash flow and profitability arising from business process improvement, commercial innovation and business restructuring. He spent four years on acquisitions mainly in North America.
He has been operating as in independent interim finance director since 1991. He has helped to improve the profitability and cash generation of owner managed SME’s turning around the fortunes of otherwise distressed businesses. As well as having held many board level appointments, he is hands-on in running a successful leisure business and so he understands the importance of maintaining a strong focus on customer service and offering a quality product. His experience encompasses manufacturing, the service, leisure and tourism and retail sectors.
Malcolm’s specialist areas are business process controls, financial restructuring, managing cash flow and working capital, administration systems and efficiency controls, management and financial accounts, forecasts , business plans and budgets.
