Steve is a Chartered accountant, former appointment taking IP and member of the TMA and Chartered Institute of Bankers. Steve has a Top 10 background and almost 20 years experience in SME turnaround and restructuring.

Steve developed a passion for working with businesses to turn them around while still an appointment taking IP and has many years’ experience of hands on client activity in the £1m to £35m SME sector. He possesses a blend of skills that includes trading businesses, investigative and forensic reporting for a range of stakeholders and developing bespoke management reporting and forecasting packages in addition to his core accountancy skills.

Steve has wide experience of business sectors ranging from manufacturing to nursing homes and from professional practices to the construction sector.

Steve’s philosophy of working with businesses to help them reach their objectives has developed over many years but owes much to his time as a secondee to Barclays Business Support in 2002. His experience there showed how effective turnaround is, not just a matter of an initial diagnosis and the agreement of an action plan, but involving working with the management team on a regular on-going basis to implement the actions agreed.
